The Catholic Parishes in Waterloo are committed to providing encourage-ment, support and guidance for parents of children with learning, social, intellectual, physical, emotional or behavioral needs.
We pledge our sincere effort to insure that all children and their families are fully incorporated and welcomed in our worship environments, religious formation programs, social and community activities. Our goal is to make faith formation relevant for all learners in the least restrictive environment.
We welcome individuals with special needs and their families to guide and assist us in providing an environment which is truly a community of faith and light for all.

“Never Alone” Parent Support Group
Never Alone is a support group for families of children and youth with special needs sponsored by the Catholic Parishes in the Cedar Valley. We invite parents and caregivers of youth with special learning, developmental, physical or behavioral needs to join in this dialogue. The group welcomes parents and caregivers of youth with mental illness to join as well.
The Never Alone group:
• Enables parents and caregivers be helpful to each other.
• Helps parents/caregivers explore online and community resources.
• Facilitates better communication between families and parish staff.
• Explores how the parishes can be more supportive and helpful to
families of youth with special needs.
The “Never Alone” group meets as needed. Meetings time and locations are communicated through the parish bulletins and this web site.
