This practical, personal retreat experience is designed for individuals who are struggling to forgive hurtful experiences in their lives and for loved ones who support them. The presenter, Sandy Hoenig, believes that forgiving is a miracle of healing and empowerment that gives a person emotional strength. According to Sandy, "the secret to a joyful life isn’t in what happens to us but with what we do as a result of what happens to us. The past might be a good place to visit but can be a lousy place to live. Even though people have hurt you and you cannot forget it, you can be free from grudges, resentment, self-defeating habits, and negative feelings. Forgiving is the only way to stop the pain and bring hope for the future."
Participants in this healing journey will:
• discover forgiving as a profound emotional strength.
• identify and process stages of forgiving and healing.
• learn strategies to avoid or resolve profoundly hurtful experiences and relationships.
