Here's an opportunity for adults and young adults who want to live more intentionally in the spirit of the Lenten season.
We'll be meeting online each week to read and discuss the Sunday readings and the way in which these readings call all of us to a deeper appreciation for Lent and the resurrection of the Lord which we are preparing to celebrate at Easter.
You do not have to be a deeply spiritual person or have more than a common appreciation for Scripture to participate in these weekly conversations. Bring you personal experience and wisdom.
We will be using a tradition form of scripture reflection called Lectio Divine ("Holy Reading"). This method developed in the early Christian monasteries; it consists of reading a scripture passage three times, reflecting first on what one hears and sees; secondly on what one feels; and thirdly on how this scripture applies to our personal and daily lives. (Learn more about Lectio Divina here.)
