Fr. David Ambrosy is pastor of Queen of Peace Parish in Waterloo.Fr. David was born in Dubuque and raised in St. Lawrence Parish in rural Dubuque County. He attended Andrew High School and received his BA degree in Business Administration from Loras College and his Masters of Divinity from Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He was ordained for the Archdiocese of Dubuque in 1985. Following ordination Fr. David served as an associate pastor at parishes in Cresco, Marion, Postville/Clermont, Anamosa, Decorah/Bluffton/Plymouth Rock and Dubuque. He served in Campus Ministry at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids from 1998-2002, as sacramental priest at St. John Parish in Mt. Vernon and St. Isidore Parish in Springville from 2002 to 2006 and as sacramental priest at St. Mary Parish in Vinton, St. Mary Parish in Urbana and Sacred Heart Parish in Walker from 2006 to 2010, and St. Pius Parish in Cedar Rapids from 2010 to 2013. He served as chaplain at St. Luke Hospital in Cedar Rapids from 1998 to 2013 and at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids from 2006 to 2013. He served on the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council from 1991 to 1994 and on the Priests' Council from 1991-94, 2008-2012. He was appointed pastor of Queen of Peace Parish, Waterloo in 2013. (07.13)

Fr. Scott Bullock is pastor of St. Edward Parish. Fr. Bullock was born in Royal Oak Michigan in 1963. He graduated from the General Motors Institute with a BS in Industrial Engineering in 1985, after which he came to Iowa to attend Iowa State University. He received a Bachelor’s of Sacred Theology degree from the Gregorian University in Rome in 1990 and a License of Canon Law from the Catholic University of America in 1997. He has served as Associate Pastor at St. Matthew Parish in Cedar Rapids, St. Edward Parish in Waterloo, and parishes in St. Catherine, St. Donatus and Bellevue. He served as Pastor of the Church of the Nativity in Dubuque and rector of St. Pius X Seminary at Loras College from 2011-2014. He also serves as Judicial Vicar for the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Fr. Bullock was appointed Pastor of St. Edward Parish and pastoral coordinator of Cedar Valley Catholic Schools in July 2014. In his spare time, he enjoys reading literature, riding his bike long-distance, and watching classic movies.

Dave Cushing is Director of Adult Faith Formation and a member of the Faith Formation Administrative Team for the Catholic Parishes in Waterloo. Dave grew up in Dubuque and attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Wahlert High School. He has BA degrees in History and Sociology from Loras College (1972) and a Masters of Divinity degree from St. Meinrad School of Theology in Indiana (1981). Since 1981 Dave has served in full-time parish ministry as director of faith formation and education at St. John Parish, Waterloo; St. Nicholas Parish, Evansdale; Queen of Peace Parish, Waterloo and St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center, Cedar Falls and as pastoral associate for adult formation at Blessed Sacrament Parish, Waterloo. He was appointed director of adult faith formation for the Waterloo parishes in 2006. Dave has over 800 hours in continuing education, including participation in Illuminare, a formation program for lay ecclesial ministers, and the North American Forum on the Catechumenate. Dave is a presenter in the Archdiocese's Lay Formation program and a member of the Lay Formation Board. He also currently serves on the Archdiocesan Faith Formation Commission and the Evangelization Committee for the Archdiocese's 175th Anniversary. He writes a bi-weekly column, "Faith Leaders' Corner," for the Archdiocese's Office of Education. Dave and his wife Mary Lou are parents of two young adult children. Pam Johnston is director of faith formation for the Burmese community at Sacred Heart Parish in Waterloo. Pam grew up in Waterloo and attended St. Mary Grade School and Columbus High School. She studied Marketing at the University of Northern Iowa completed a certificate program in Religious Studies and Theology from Loyola University in New Orleans. She was employed as a manager and buyer for women's specialty shops before becoming a resource aide in the Sacred Heart School Learning Center. She served as director of faith formation at Sacred Heart Parish from 1989 to 2013. Pam's continuing education includes participation in Illuminare, a formation program for lay ecclesial ministers, the North American Forum for the Catechumenate, various diocesan and national conferences, and professional development opportunities sponsored by the Archdiocese of Dubuque. She is a member of the National Conference of Catechetical Directors and the National Association of Parish Catechetical Leaders. She serves on the Archdiocese's Church Design and Renovation Commission and has served for many years as chair of Waterloo Diocore. She is currently the Executive Officer of the Waterloo Catholic Faith Formation Commission and the chair of the Waterloo Pastoral Leaders. Pam and her husband Don are parents of two adult children and four grandchildren. They are members of Sacred Heart Parish, where Pam also chairs the Liturgy Committee, directs a youth choir and is a music minister. (10.10)

Fr. Thomas McDermottis pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Waterloo. He grew up in rural Dubuque County where his family attended St. John the Evangelist Parish at Placid. He attended grade school in the Seton Catholic System and Beckman High School in Dyersville. He studied farm operations at Iowa State University and farmed on his grandfather's farm for eleven years before attending St. Mary Seminary and University in Baltimore where he earned his Masters of Divinity and MA in Theology. He was ordained in 1997. Fr. McDermott has served as associate pastor at Holy Trinity Parish in Dubuque and St. Edward Parish in Waterloo and as pastor at Sacred Heart Parish in Maquoketa and St. Ludmilla Parish in Cedar Rapids. He was appointed pastor of Blessed Sacrament in 2011. He has an MA degree in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University in Omaha. He has served as chair of the Archdiocesan Priests Council and currently serves on the Priests Pension Board, Seminary Review Board, St. Raphael Priests Fund Board and Priests Personnel Board. Fr. Cathy Mills is a Directors of Children's and Family Catechesis and a member of the Faith Formation Administrative Team for the Catholic Parishes in Waterloo. Cathy was born in Dubuque, Iowa and attended Sacred Heart Parish. She attended St. Edward Elementary School in Waterloo and Shanley Catholic High School in Fargo, North Dakota. Cathy graduated from Upper Iowa University with majors in English and Business and a minor in Marketing, with secondary teaching and early childhood endorsements. She has 12 credits in the Masters of Theology program at Loras College and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Religious Education program at Felician College. She was a teacher inSacred Heart School from 2000 to 2002, co-director of child care at Sacred Heart from 2003 to 2005, and Coordinator of Religious Education for Sacred Heart Parish from 2002 to 2014. She joined the Faith Formation Administrative Team in 2014. Cathy has served on the parish Social Justice Commitee, Stewardship Committee, the Committee for Burmese Integration, and the Church Row Coalition and is a member of Waterloo Diocore. Nancy Rigel is Pastoral Associate and Parish Nurse at Sacred Heart Parish in Waterloo. She was born in Waterloo and attended St. John Catholic School and Columbus High School. She has a diploma in nursing from Allen School of Nursing (1975) and a BA in General Studies in Nursing from the University of Northern Iowa (1998). Nancy completed the Archdiocese of Dubuque’s Lay Formation program in 2002 and received her Masters degree in Ministry from Loras College in 2005. She is certified as a Pastoral Associate by the Archdiocese of Dubuque. She served as a registered nurse at Covenant Clinic and Cedar Valley Hospice. Nancy has coordinated funeral and bereavement ministry at Sacred Heart since 1989. She was appointed Pastoral Associate in 2001. Nancy is a member of PAMAD, the professional association of Pastoral Associates and Ministers in the Archdiocese of Dubuque, and currently serves on the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council. She and her husband Dan are parents of four adult children and six grandchildren. They are members of Sacred Heart Parish. Deacon Robert Stirm is Parish Life Coordinator at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Waterloo. Bob was born in Waterloo and attended local schools and Columbus High School. He has a BA degree in Industry and Technology from the University of Northern Iowa and 30 hours of graduate credit from UNI. Bob and his wife Nancy were members of Deacon Class XII; Bob was ordained to the permanent deaconate in 2007. Bob was supervisor and advanced personnel representative at John Deere and has served as program manager at the Cedar Falls Center for Business and Industry. He was coordinator of the Archdiocese of Dubuque’s First Judicial District Jail/Prison Ministry from 2006 to 2010. He was appointed Parish Life Coordinator at Blessed Sacrament in 2007. Ellen Voegele is Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry and a member of the Faith Formation Administrative Team for the Catholic Parishes in Waterloo. Director of Faith Formation at St. Edward Parish. Ellen was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she attended St. Louis Grade School and McNicholas High School. She earned BA degrees in Religious Education and Music Performance from Marian University in Indianapolis and an MA degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. She served as an Apprentice Catechetical Leader in the University of Notre Dame's ECHO Faith Formation Program at Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish in St. Petersburg, Florida from 2008 to 2010 and as Director of Faith Formation at Blessed Trinity from 2010 to 2012. While at Blessed Trinity Ellen served on the Young Adult Ministry Commission for the diocese of St. Petersburg. She served as Director of Faith Formation at St. Edward from 2012 to 2014. Annie Zeets is Coordinator of Middle School Youth Ministry and a member of the Faith Formation Administrative Team for the Catholic Parishes in Waterloo. Annie was born and raised in Waterloo, where she attended Sacred Heart grade school and Columbus High School. She has a BA degree in Education from the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to her current position she worked as a news producer at KWWL-TV in Waterloo. Annie was appointed to the position of Middle School Youth Ministry Coordinator in 2007. She also serves as coordinator of CORE, the Waterloo parishes' cooperative religious formation program for high school students who do not attend a Catholic school.
