RISE, AND DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TRUST.
Saturday, March 7. 9:30 - 10:30 am. at Faith Formation Center.
Blessed Sacrament Early Childhood Center.
In the beginning after creating the heavens and earth and the first man, “the Lord God said: It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suited to him.” (Genesis 2:18). These words are a constant whisper in the heart of every person as we are primarily social beings, ever in need of love, companionship, and intimacy with others and with God. Yet we often fear trusting others with the details of our spiritual life or lack of. Our spiritual lives are not private affairs between us and the Lord, but have a public dimension as members of the corporate Body of Christ here on earth. We need each other and need guidance from those that have walked the walk. A spiritual director is a suitable helper to one that desires to hear the Lord and know the presence of God in his/her life. Rise, and do not be afraid to trust. Come discover what spiritual direction is and how it can help you grow in your relationship with God.
SPIRITUAL DIRECTION 101:

Spiritual direction involves being seen - a baring of the soul to God in the presence of another person or group of people that intently listen. This holy listening, so critical in spiritual direction, encourages the directee to enter fully into the light to be seen and gazed upon by Love himself. Come join us as we explore how listening and life-giving questions make up a spiritual direction session.
