This Advent season, which prepares us once again for the celebration of Jesus coming into our world, is also a unique time for preparing to live in hope. Jesus is both the model and the source of our hope as Christians. As Pope Francis has reminded us, hope is more than optimism or a positive attitude; it is the eager longing for the justice and peace promised by the God revealed to us in Jesus Christ. Now is the time, this is the place, to be people of hope who recognize the reason for hope in a world graced by the Incarnate God. Sister Janet's reflections will help us recognize the simple but powerful ways we encounter this reason for hope in our everyday lives as Catholic Christians.
About the Retreat
Retreats are opportunities for intentional prayer and reflection; they enable us to make time in the midst of our regular routines to focus on the "big picture" of our lives and our relationship to God. Our Busy Catholic's Virtual Retreats are designed for adults, young adults, couples, families, friends and members of small faith-sharing groups who are too busy to participate in a traditional weekend or week-long retreat outside the home. These virtual retreats take place in the midst of everyday life. During the virtual retreat the participant's time for prayer and quiet reflection takes place in their home, work, or another environment of their choosing, at whatever time of day is convenient for them.
